Journal Entry – First Day of Work

Date: May 12, 2025

Today was my first day as a Data Analyst. I felt excited but also a little nervous. Everything was new people, new tools, and new tasks.

In the morning, I met my team. They were friendly and made me feel welcome. My manager gave me a short tour and showed me the tools I will be using, like Excel, SQL, and Power BI.

I looked at some sales data today. It was interesting to see how numbers can help us understand what is happening in the business. I didn’t do any big analysis yet, but I’m looking forward to it.

There was a lot of information, and I didn’t understand everything. But that’s okay. I took notes and asked for help when I needed it.

Overall, it was a good first day. I’m excited to learn more and do my best in this job.
